    Japan’s convenience store business thrives on efficiency through automation, risk reduction through franchising, and highly optimized delivery networks in dense urban areas.

    In the US, I think this model would face significant challenges. That said, if the same workflow could be fully adapted and implemented in the US, it could become very successful — but it would be a difficult path. Personally, I’m quite skeptical, though success would be huge if it happens.
